Voting in King William County

Who is eligible to vote in Virginia?

  • A Resident of the State of Virginia
  • A citizen of the United States
  • 18 years of age by the next general election
  • If convicted of a felony, your right to vote must have been restored
  • Not currently declared mentally incompetent by a court of law

Polls are open from 6am until 7pm

Voter, are you Photo ID ready?

Voters must present one of the following acceptable forms of identification when voting

  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License
  • DMV-issued photo identification cards
  • Valid United States Passport
  • Valid Employee photo identification card
  • Other government-issued photo identification card
  • Valid college or university student photo identification card (issuer must be an institution of higher education located in Virginia)

If you do not have an acceptable form of identification please contact the Voter Registration & Elections Office for a free ID.
