Maps/Geographic Information Systems

In September 1997, King William County began implementing the Enhanced E-911 System. Using aerial photographs taken for the purpose, the consulting firm of MSAG assigned street addresses to all visible structures in the county. Address plates were then hand-delivered to each location.

The Countys Planning Technician is now able to access these files using ArcView software to produce maps and other documents used by the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Board of Supervisors.
